Holistic restoration for the heritage 1950’s Edwardian home
Vale Street, a 1950’s majestic Federation house in Mount Lawley’s vibrant neighbourhood, was in need of a transformation. We were hired to preserve the home’s historical significance while layering in a modern, functional design. Following a European approach of respecting and reinforcing history, we maintained important architectural features such as the symmetrical design, pyramidal roof and grand verandah. We then introduced key contemporary interventions to draw the building into the present day.
For the clients, this stately home needed to represent the requirements of a modern family whilst providing them with a valuable asset worthy of the address. It was a fundamental goal to maintain and enhance the aesthetic character through a commitment to quality and integrity in the design. Honest use of materials, restoration of heritage features, preservation of the landscape and exploration of building principles allowed us to preserve defining historic architecture while building a seamless extension. The result has been an impressive, functional and very comfortable home for our clients that is fitting of its affluent surroundings.

The experience of building
was definitely positive.
“We found it a pleasure that a company would listen to what we had to say and turn it into reality. A solution was always presented and we worked together to achieve the best result. We were impressed by the quality trades as they were always willing to provide input and go beyond our expectations.”

An outstanding quality job,
right from the beginning.
“After experiencing the work and services they provided to our recently renovated offices, it was an easy decision to have them work on our personal home. From design to final build, the quality was exceptional. The trades were respectful of our home and understanding during the periods when we actually lived in the house whilst building again.”

From the get go, we felt part
of the Transform family.
“Boardroom planning discussions were professional. No problem was ever too big, an attitude which carried throughout the extensive renovations. Our living at home comfort was first priority for the team of workers each day,. We watched our dreams come to reality in the hands of professionals at a fast pace and with exceptional quality.”
