From a commercial shell to a New York -Inspired Residence
In the heart of West Perth, our latest project is redefining what residential transformation can be. This build takes a once purely utilitarian commercial building and reimagines it as a bold, New York–inspired private residence — layered, architectural, and deeply individual.
Now evolving from a commercial shell into an architectural showpiece, the project converts what was once a cold, functional office space into a warm and expressive home that celebrates structure, volume, and materiality. Existing elements are not simply removed — they are reinterpreted — allowing character and scale to become defining features of the finished residence.
Every decision — from layout planning through to finish selection — is driven by a clear objective: to transform a previously inward, task-based environment into a lifestyle-focused home. Light, flow, and proportion are being completely reworked to support contemporary living, while preserving the building’s inherent strength and presence.
More than a renovation, this project is a statement in urban reinvention. It demonstrates how underused city buildings can be elevated into design-led homes with identity and personality — and how thoughtful design, skilled craftsmanship, and a clear vision can unlock unexpected residential potential within commercial structures
